I just got back two rolls of film--the color Brownie pictures from the beach, and my 2001 first wearing of costume pictures!  Sadly, the 2001 film had deteriorated.  Or maybe not so sadly.  I don't want that much detail.  Although, most of the roll was Koshka!  My scanner is covered with books and things, so no scanning right now, but here's a ( Read more... )

It looks like I will be wearing the 1946 bathing suit! The top is done, and the skirt just needs most of a hem and the ties sewn. I decided against the shorts as they don't show and I don't want to swim in this one.

The ties were holding me up. I hate turning tubes! Then I decided to just sew them from the outside by hand. Much less stressful!

I should easily finish the gala dress tonight.

However, I need muslin for my next three projects--the plaid 1820s dress, the 1940s bathing suit, and the Grumpy Cat sundress. There's another dress that although I'm excited about, I might put off. We'll see how those projects go ( Read more... )

I need this so much, in fact, that I just ordered two yards of seafoam wool jersey, breaking a few of my rules--quick projects, wool (it'll just get eaten),
